A special ball with a clearly unique past, this Official American League ball is signed by Babe Ruth on the sweet spot. The ball is also signed by legendary umpire Bill McGowan and Ruth's daughter, Linda Ruth (later added). McGowan has included some script on the ball that, unfortunately, cannot be identified, but would likely explain some of the ball's history. A date is written underneath McGowan's script, which appears to include October and end in "30", indicating 1930. This timeline, and the fact that the ball was found in Canada, line up well with Ruth's Barnstorming events that would often take place following the World Series in October.
