Russ Jackson is widely regarded as the greatest Canadian-born quarterback in CFL history, having spent his entire twelve-year career with the Ottawa Rough Riders. A three-time league MVP and three-time Grey Cup champion, Jackson famously balanced his professional football career with a full-time job as a high school teacher. His retirement following the 1969 season provided the ultimate storybook ending, as he led Ottawa to a 29–11 Grey Cup victory over Saskatchewan. In that legendary final appearance, he threw a record-setting four touchdown passes and earned the game’s Most Outstanding Player award, walking off the field at the pinnacle of the sport. The ring offered here was presented to Jackson for that 1969 Grey Cup victory and resides in excellent condition. The 30-gram ring features a central diamond encircled by 16 miniature rubies, with the title "Canadian Professional Football Champions" elegantly lettered along the outer rim. The size 10.75 band is marked, "10K FR" gold stamp and bears the personal interior engraving, "Jackson No. 12." All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions.
