Jack Reppen was known for supplying the Toronto Star with cartoon art for the night's hockey game. The original concept piece, done in Jack's hand, offered here was likely used by The Star to produce the newspaper's cartoon and features Frank Mahovlich and Bobby Baun. Notes from the newspaper are done in pen and pencil in the bottom right corner with a note of "SAT", likely indicating use in Saturday's paper. Corner wear and minor staining throughout. Loss to the reverse side, bottom right corner. Glue residue mostly on the reverse top edge bleeds into the facing side at the extreme top edge.
