The 1958 Whitby Dunlops solidified their place in hockey history by reclaiming the World Championship for Canada with a perfect tournament record in Oslo, Norway. Representing the nation as Allan Cup champions, the "Dunnies" famously defeated the Soviet Union 4–2 in the gold medal game to restore Canadian dominance on the international stage. The powerhouse roster featured legendary figures like future Boston Bruins executive Harry Sinden and Connie Broden, who uniquely won both a World Championship and a Stanley Cup in the same season. Offered here is a unique grouping related to that championship-winning season, including a 1958 Tray presented to a player or team executive by the County of Ontario, two original Whitby Dunlops Championship photos, six programs, including a 1957-1958 program, and a 25th Anniversary Tray and program. The pair of framed photos has not been analyzed outside of their frames, but they appear to be period correct.
