Description
Early 20th century Toledo Scale Company computing parcel post scale, Style 4624, No. 410314 manufactured in Toledo, Ohio, with patent dates ranging from 1912–1919 visible on the maker’s plate. This substantial cast metal countertop scale features the iconic black japanned finish with large red and gold “TOLEDO” lettering to the base, oversized fan-form dial with postal and parcel rate charts, and original round weighing platform. The scale retains its sliding rate indicator arm and internal chart windows, making it a strong example of early commercial postal and mercantile equipment. Condition shows scuffs, scratches, finish wear, paint loss, edge chipping, oxidation, and areas of rust consistent with age, use, and handling. The dial graphics remain largely legible and display well. Untested for accuracy or calibration. An excellent industrial display piece for country store, general store, or advertising collections. Measures 21.25" H x 23.75" W x 10.75" D.
