
KO-ZORI LINEAGE (ACTIVE LATE 14TH CENTURY) A Bizen Katana Nanbokuchō period (1333-1392), late 14th century Honzukuri, iorimune, chū-gissaki configuration with shallow toriizori curvature forged in ko-itamehada and a ko-midare temepered edge with ko-ashi and sunagashi, ending in a ō-maru bōshi, the ō-suriage tang with two holes, 29 1/4in (74.3cm) long, with a one-piece, silver-foil habaki, in a wood shirasaya storage scabbard with attestation attributing this blade to Bizen Motohira (2).
