
ATTRIBUTED TO JUMYŌ A Mino Tantō in Mounts Edo Period (165-1868), 17th century Of hirazukuri configuration forged in itamehada with a gunome midare tempered edge ending in a midare komi bōshi, the ubu tang machi okuri with one hole and katte sagari file marks, 7 7/8in (20cm) long, with a one-piece shakudō habaki; the aikuchi goshira-e comprising a ribbed saya decorated in mottled red and black lacquer fitted with an iron kojiri, a copper kurikata, and a brass kozuka decorated with a sudare blind, the fuchi and tsuba of horn, the kashira of wood 11 3/4in (29.8cm) long overall (2).
