The maquette is extremely well executed in depth and vision, crisp detail with blush colours, deep brown, wood textured with crisp print and text to the name and date plates, outline and of quality.
This maquette in the style of Dame Barbara Hepworth's famous Ball, plane and hole 1936; which is now in the Tate Modern.  The third photograph shows the original.
This item is sized to a 50mm Ball and is illustrated in the photographs. It is in Spruce. The plinth measures 36 x 9 x 2.4cm and the maximum height is 14.5cm.
It is the work of David Boyd, who is a scientist specialising in scientific and geometric artworks.
