
Description
Lidded goblet of the Emde glassworks, c. 1740 Colourless glass with tear-off. Slightly rising disc base with gilded edge. Pressed, faceted shaft with pierced air bladder. Attachment of the bell-shaped cuppa honeycomb-faceted and two rows of pierced air beads. Above this, fluted flutes all around as well as finely cut and gilded fruit festoons surrounded by very finely cut floral decoration in triple repeat. Below the gilded lip rim, there is a circumferential tendrils and scroll border as well as three gilded palmettes. Lid with gilded rim and fluting. Oak-shaped, partly gilded pommel. H. 24 cm
