
A late 19th century French striking and repeating carriage clock Herbert Blockley, successor to Lund & Blockley, 41 Duke Street, St James's, London The case surmounted by a brass carrying handle over an oval observation window and repeat button to a moulded top, the sides with glazed observation windows and terminating in a moulded base. The 2.75 inch white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and Breguet-style blued steel hands, inscribed examined by Herbert Blockley, successor to Lund & Blockley, 41 Duke Street, St James's, London. The twin train movement with silvered lever platform escapement, striking the hours and half hours on a blued steel gong. 16cms (6.25ins) high.
