
A late 19th century striking and repeating carriage clock with pillared case Primavesi Bros, Bournemouth and Paris The case surmounted by a shaped carrying handle over a bevelled glass observation window with repeat button, the architectural case supported by Corinthian capitals with bevelled glass observation windows to each side and back, terminating in a moulded base and resting on four block feet. The 2.5 inch dial with enamel chapter ring bearing Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, framed by a simple gilt mask inscribed sold by Primavesi Bros, Bournemouth and Paris. The twin train movement fitted with a silvered lever platform escapement, striking the hours and half hours on a blued steel gong mounted to the backplate, stamped EGL, Paris, currently ticking and striking. 18cms (7ins) high.
