A late 18th century French carved giltwood mercury barometer The case carved with a reeded column flanked by a pair of laurel wreaths over swept sides to a draped lower section containing the coloured alcohol thermometer. The dial lettered in French (makers signature indistinct) with blued steel active hand, and S-shaped brass recording hand set from the centre.
