Description
Canadian. 1849-1864. A. Livingston, wine & spirit merchant, Princess Street, Kingston Canada West. 4 gal jug. The bird is a rare early style made by the Picton Pottery. Most likely an early Skinner piece, but possibly from before 1855 when William Hart was the owner. Either way, the decoration is spectacular with strong blue against an attractive beige coloured body.
