Perhaps, guided by the assay date of 1806, the property of Alan Hyde GARDNER (1770-1815) born Uttoxeter, Staffordshire and later Admiral, KCB and 2nd Baron GARDNER of the English and Irish Peerage, the son of Admiral Alan GARDNER (1747-1809) 1st Baron by Susannah Hyde GALE (1749-1823) a Jamaican heiress and daughter of Francis GALE (1727-1774) by Susannah HALL (1727-1794). He was married twice: Firstly in 1796 to Maria Elizabeth ADDERLEY (1776-1831) daughter of Thomas ADDERLEY by Margaretta BOURNE.
