A George III silver and glass bottle decanter set Robert Hennell I & David Hennell II, London 1801 The frame, oval base with gadroon rim, with a wriggle-work engraved inner band, centred with the engraved arms of PERCEVAL, the four oval receivers interspersed with four stopper receivers, on slender elongated pillar and paw supports, centred with a carrying handle with splayed junction, underside with inset wood base with four applied silver ball feet, fitted with four oval glass decanters with double pouring lip, height 28cm, length 27cm. Footnotes: This is the crest associated with arms of James PERCEVAL (1738-1822) 3rd Earl of Egmont, the eldest son of John PERCEVAL (1711-1770) 2nd Earl of Egmont by Lady Catherine CECIL (1719-1752) the second daughter of John CECIL (1691-1728) 5th Earl of Salisbury. He was the half-brother of Spencer PERCEVAL (1762-1812) later Prime Minister of the UK. In 1765 he married Isabella POWLETT (died 1821) the daughter of Lord Nassau POWLETT (1698-1741).
