London 1772 The narrow skewer with shell and ring terminal, contained in a fitted presentation case, the lid with applied plaque, inscribed 'Presented to SIR COLIN CORNESS by the Directors of Courtauld plc 16th July 1991 - this antique silver skewer by Louisa Courtauld & George Cowles 1772', length of skewer 30.3cm; together with a George II silver ring-end skewer, probably George Baskerville, London 1759, length 32.5cm, weight 4.6oz.
