1957. Single-sided porcelain (SSP). Sky Chief gasoline was introduced in 1938 as Texaco's premium octane flagship fuel that was above their standard regular-grade gasoline. It was rebranded as "super-charged" with Petrox (a type of detergent used to prevent the buildup of carbon deposits on valves and combustion chambers). (TAC #501614).
