1947 Lithographed tin. This bilingual can was produced by the American Can Company at the Seattle, Washington plant (the "31" marking refers to the Seattle plant code). The diamond icon beside the "31A" marking identifies the exact year of production as 1947. Canadian Oil Companies, Limited, the distributor of White Rose, produced its cans with both English and French text rather than having to manage two separate inventories for different provinces. It was also common for Canadian Oil Companies, Limited, to source specialized containers from major American Can Company hubs if a local Canadian plant was not yet tooled for a specific can design. Authenticated by The Authentication Company (TAC #501578). All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions.
