1937 Lithographed tin. This can was produced by the American Can Company at their Seattle, Washington plant (the "31" marking refers to the Seattle plant code). The closed bowtie icon beside the "31A" marking identifies the exact year of production as 1937. It was common for the GM of Canada to source specialized containers from major American Can Company hubs if a local Canadian plant was not yet tooled for a specific can design.
