1955-1960. Reverse-painted glass. Small glass advertising mirrors with business details were popular promotional items for hardware and supply stores during this specific post-war era. The sign was made by the Veron Company, which was founded in Iowa in 1902. It was one of North America's top 40 distributors of promotional merchandise, which specialized in custom-branded items. The format of the phone number, known as the "2-5" numbering plan (2 letters, 5 numbers), existed in Oregon during the era and provides a specific date for this mirror. Strong colour with some fade to paper lithography. Some scratches and staining to the mirror finish. Minor stable paint flaking to green background at edges. Two chips to lower edge of glass. Retains original cardboard backing.
