1956-1968. Double-sided tin (DST). This sign features dual slogans, differing on both sides. This was known as the "tri-band" design. The top third shows the primary brand (the "Flaming F" logo); the middle is the product band (Town & Country Tires), and the lower third is the "call-to-action" band (the colours are the same as the top third, which ensures the "hook" of the slogan was just as prominent as the brand itself.) This curb sign would have been located right next to the gas pumps. The "tri-band" design was introduced in 1956. This design and the combination of slogans on this sign were used up to 1968, when Firestone introduced a new campaign, a new sign design, and a new colour palette. (TAC #402533).
