Cosmerovius, und enthält es die wissenschaftsgeschichtlich bedeutende, nach dem Verfasser benannte "Guldinsche Regel", welche aber laut Poggendorf schon ca. 300 v. Chr. in ähnlicher Form bei Pappus erwähnt wird. - "In the first volume Guldin determined the centers of gravity of plane rectilinear and curvilinear figures and of solids in the Archimedean manner.
