A pair of painted dummy boards or 'silent companions' depicting a girl and a boy Probably late 17th century The two children painted in oil wearing 17th century dress with fixed easel supports to the reverse, the girl: 36cm wide, 9cm deep, 109.5cm high (14in wide, 3 1/2in deep, 43in high) (the boy: 104cm high) (2) Footnotes: Provenance With Church Street Galleries, London, exhibited at Olympia Fine Art & Antiques Fair, where bought by the previous owner in June 1992.
