Beautiful leather binding with gilding and central medallions (Virgin and Child and Crucifixion), ornate ribbed spine (upper and lower covers damaged), clasps missing.A very fine work financed by the wealthy Sceriman (Shahrimani) family of New Djulfa in Persia, to which Gaspar son of Sarhat belonged.
