16x18 This hand-colored lithograph, titled Cornelia, was published by Nathaniel Currier in 1847. The image depicts a young woman in mid-19th-century Victorian attire, featuring an off-the-shoulder dress with ruffled sleeves and a rose tucked into her dark, ringlet-styled hair. She stands beside a stone balustrade in a pastoral landscape characterized by a weeping willow tree and a cluster of roses in the foreground. The work is inscribed in the lower left margin LITH. & PUB. BY N. CURRIER. The copyright line reads Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1847 by N. Currier, in the Clerk's office of the District Court of the Southern District of New York. The publisher's address 152 NASSAU ST. COR. OF SPRUCE N.Y. is located at the lower right, and the series or plate number 391 is printed beneath the title. The print is housed in a period-style, wide wooden frame with a flat profile and a solid wooden panel backing held by metal points.
