Westmoreland Ruby Flash Pressed Glass Console Trio

Description

Manufactured by the Westmoreland Glass Company of Grapeville, Pennsylvania, this three-piece console set consists of a handled tray and a matching pair of candlesticks. The items are constructed of pressed clear glass decorated with ruby flash, a technique involving the application of a thin layer of glass stain to the surface. The square-bodied tray features two integral clear glass ring handles and ruby flashing on the interior basin. The candlesticks are designed with faceted, tiered columns set upon square bases, with a band of ruby flashing applied to the sloped section of the base. One candlestick retains an original gold and black foil label identifying the manufacturer as Westmoreland Hand Made Glass.
