Lefton & Sadler Ceramic Teapots & Tableware

Description

An assortment of decorative ceramic tableware including pieces by Lefton and Sadler. The collection features an earthenware teapot by Sadler with a bulbous, lobed body and transfer-printed floral bouquets of roses and anemones. The base is embossed with the words ENGLAND and SADLER and includes a handwritten pattern number 3185 in black ink. Also included is a musical porcelain teapot by Lefton commemorating a 25th anniversary, decorated with silver-toned bells and pink roses. It possesses an integrated musical movement in the base with a metal winding key and is marked with a red Lefton foil sticker and the number 07006. A Lefton porcelain condiment jar set is present, featuring hand-painted fruit motifs including pears and grapes on a shaded ground. This set consists of a lidded jar, a saucer, and a ceramic spoon, and bears the Lefton China backstamp and foil label. Completing the assortment is a squat earthenware teapot with a blue transfer-printed floral border and gold-gilt highlights, featuring an illegible green mark on the base.
