Description
This eclectic assembly of frontier-style weaponry and ceremonial items features a striking 14.5" pipe tomahawk with a brass head and a 21" catlinite (pipestone) pipe adorned with horsehair and dreamcatcher motifs. The collection highlights traditional craftsmanship styles, including an 11" jawbone-handled knife with a 6" hafted stone blade in a fringed leather scabbard, and a 7.5" antler-handled obsidian knife. Modern additions include a beaded leather wristband and a 10.25" "Old Smoky" folding hunter's knife marked "Pakistan" with a "Liberty and Union" embossed bolster. Most pieces appear to be high-quality contemporary or 20th-century tributes to Plains Indian aesthetics rather than period artifacts. The items show light handling wear and minor scuffing to the stone and wood surfaces; the folding knife shows some surface oxidation on the blade. Jawbone knife: L 11", W 2.5". Tomahawk: L 14.5", W 7.75". Catlinite pipe: L 21". Folding knife: L 10.25". Please see photos for condition.
