Description: This Mid-Century Modern buffet/credenza by John Keal for Brown Saltman features three storage drawers and a cabinet behind a pair of double doors. The unit rests on a sculpturally rendered large center drawer. It features bleached mahogany, a lower case with pressed wood front, an upper section with two drawers and three drawers, an original drawer, and custom brass zig-zag door pulls.

John Keal was a prominent mid-century modern furniture designer who collaborated with the Los Angeles manufacturer Brown-Saltman in the 1940s and 50s. He is known for using quality woods like mahogany and walnut in his designs and played a key role in developing the "California modernism" aesthetic. His pieces are often characterized by sleek lines and a blend of modern design with natural materials.
