Description
This antique, late-19th-century salt-glazed stoneware crock features a two-gallon capacity and was produced by Enterprise Pottery of New Brighton, Pennsylvania, a maker frequently stamped as "P.E. Co." or "P.E. & Co." The exterior showcases a beautiful salt-glaze tone and texture, accented by cobalt blue script naming the maker and its regional provenance. The interior is finished with a classic, dark Albany slip lining. Measuring approximately 10 1/8 in. H x 8 3/8 in. in diameter, the crock exhibits minimal surface wear consistent with historic utility, remaining in overall good condition.
