Description
Ceramic pitcher showcases the legendary craftsmanship of Jugtown Pottery, a revered cornerstone of the historic Seagrove, North Carolina folk pottery tradition. Hand-turned into a stout, beautifully rounded form, the vessel features a rich, traditional salt glaze that yields a highly tactile, signature "orange-peel" texture. It is elegantly adorned with classic, hand-painted cobalt blue decorations and finished with a robust, hand-applied loop handle. Clearly impressed with the iconic "Jugtown" stamp and dated 1977. The pitcher measures approximately 6 in. H x 5 1/8 in. in diameter, and is presented in overall good condition.
