About the artist: Born on 08/17/1945 in the village of Limanskoe, Odessa region.
1964-1971 - studies at the Odessa State Art School named after M.B. Grekova.
1971-1977 - studies at the Kiev National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture of Ukraine.
Since 1988, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine; And also a member of the National Union of Theater Workers of Ukraine;
Nikolay Prokopenko is a painter, graphic artist, book graphic illustrator, restorer of easel, tempera, oil and monumental painting, decorator. The artist has hosted 650 All-Union, All-Ukrainian, International, Foreign and regional exhibitions, including 126 personal exhibitions, 10 Biennials. Laureate, diploma winner and prize-winner of International, All-Ukrainian and regional exhibitions, as well as a number of International Biennials and Triennials of graphics and illustrations of printed and handwritten books. Nikolai Prokopenko's works are kept in collections of 83 museums and galleries in Ukraine, Europe, USA, England, Russia, Germany, Mexico, Moldova, CIS countries, as well as works are in private collections in Europe, USA, England, Germany, Mexico, Canada, Greece , Norway, Israel, Austria, Russia, Belgium, Holland, Moldova, Poland, Yugoslavia (Serbia), Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland and other countries.
