Title: Acrylic painting The golden flame of the sky Oleksandr Gukalov Description: NoAAA5560The Acrylic painting Canvas on Cardboard titled "The golden flame of the sky" captures the breathtaking and almost sacred spectacle of a sunset in its most dramatic form, where the heavens themselves seem ablaze with living fire. At first glance, the viewer is enveloped by an overwhelming warmth radiating from the heart of the scene-the sun, rendered as a glowing, incandescent orb that dominates the composition. It spills its golden brilliance across the canvas, setting the sky aflame with a palette of fiery yellows, deep oranges, radiant reds, and soft purples. The transition of colors is smooth yet powerful, evoking both the serenity and intensity that sunsets uniquely hold. The interplay between light and shadow is central to the painting's narrative. While the left side of the canvas is saturated with radiant hues of the descending sun, the right side introduces a stark contrast: the black silhouette of palm leaves, their sharp and jagged forms etched boldly against the glowing background. These palm fronds, though devoid of detail, bring depth and grounding to the composition. Their presence emphasizes the brilliance of the sunset, as if the natural world itself pauses to frame the spectacle of the sky's fiery farewell to the day. The brushstrokes are deliberate, bold, and expressive, imbuing the work with vitality. The swirling texture around the sun suggests movement, almost as if the flames of the sky are alive, flickering and dancing across the horizon. In contrast, the heavy, opaque brushwork of the silhouetted palms provides solidity and stability. This juxtaposition of fluidity and permanence reflects the eternal cycle of day and night-the fleeting beauty of the sunset captured against the enduring presence of the earth's vegetation. Symbolically, the painting resonates with universal themes of transformation and renewal. The sun, often seen as a metaphor for life and energy, is here portrayed at the very moment it concedes to the approaching night. Yet rather than fading quietly, it exits with grandeur, igniting the heavens in golden flame. This act of fiery departure becomes an allegory for resilience, a reminder that even endings carry beauty and power. The silhouetted palms serve as silent witnesses, representing constancy amidst the ever-changing spectacle of the sky. The choice of color palette is particularly striking, designed to evoke not just sight but also emotion. The warm hues of yellow and orange bring forth feelings of comfort and warmth, while the crimson and magenta tones introduce passion and intensity. The deep purples hint at the quiet melancholy of the day's end, balancing the painting's vibrancy with a note of introspection. Together, these colors create a layered emotional experience that goes beyond the purely visual, drawing the viewer into the atmosphere of the moment itself.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: "The golden flame of the sky"* ARTISTS: Oleksandr Gukalov* SIZE: 30x40 cm/11.81x15.74 inches'* MEDIUM: acrylic, canvas on cardboard* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this product About the artists: Alexander GukalovAfter graduating from Lviv Polytechnic, he was engaged in scientific work.
