Vintage Sterling Inlaid Abalone Leaf Earrings, Screwback, Mexico, 1960's-1970's. The mechanisms are Alpaca silver which is a non sterling alloy. The leaves themselves are sterling with sterling veining and inlaid abalone. They are appx. 1.25" long and .75" wide. The abalone surface is slightly domed and domed more on one side than the other. Total weight of the earrings is appx. 7.35 grams. The earrings are marked "hecho en Mexico" (made in Mexico). The sterling has oxidation that can be polished away but great as is with the vintage look. Very good condition - some typical vintage wear on the screw of the machinsm.
