Vintage Sterling Onyx Ring, Initial AN, Leaf Border, Sz. 8, 1960's-1970's, possibly oder. This is an oval with an inlaid onyx and raised AN sterling initials set on top. The is appx. 21.5mm by 13.5mm and sits raised appx. 7mm from the top of the finger. It has a leaf border around the frame under the top of the ring with a recessed background and leaves set on the background around the entire top of the ring. The band is wide on top, appx. 14.5mm wide and tapering to appx. 3.5mm at the back of the finger. It is marked .925 and tests as sterling with an appx. weight of 8.57grams. It has black enameling filling the underside of the onyx stone. There are rods holding the letters that go through the stone and cross on the back over the enameling, holding the letters in place. This is not signed by the maker. Very good condition. It does look like it may have been resized. (W31425.32X9 SS17514 J LD 3/29/26).
