Rare Pilgrim's Flask

Description

A remarkable 19th-century Austro-Hungarian pilgrim's flask of ruby red glass with silver-gilt decoration on two oval panels adorned with classical scenes set within a hinged rim with mask heads and swirling decoration. Mounted on a metal base with four eagles as feet. With a metal cap featuring an eagle and a metal chain. Height 38 cm. Hinged parts partially loose or repaired with wire in places. In good condition.
