  • Description:Vintage 10kt Ceylon Green Spinel Ring, Sz. 7. This ring has a unique look and stone facets and cut - it has a somewhat Victorian look but believe it is from the mid 1900's. This is Uranium Glass/Green-colored spinels, including those from Sri Lanka, can fluoresce under UV light due to the manganese in the stone. Synthetic spinels can test as uranium glass, especially when faceted. This is marked 10kt and signed BT. The stone is a rectangular shape with shorter straigh edges and curved in sides. The stone is appx. 14mm by 9.5mm at the longest points and 7mm at the curved in sides. The stone is appx. 5.3mm thick. It is appx. a 5 CTW stone. This has a unique cut tot he stone not just shape. There are three clear stones on each side of the ring that re testing in the quartz range. It has a decorative upper shank to the band that is appx. 4mm wide at the stone and tapers to appx. 1.5mm at the back of the finger. It lights up boldly under blue light. It is marked 10kt and tests as 10kt (it is white gold) with an appx. weight of 4.32 grams. Very clean and in very good conditoin. (W32826.43X2 SS17524 J LD 4/2/26).
