ABOUT THE ARTIST: Minskiy Hryhoriy Semenovych - was born on the 13th of April, 1912 in Odessa city. He studied at Odesa Art Institute and Kyiv State Art Institute. Mentors: Volokidin P. G., Shovkunenko A.A. He worked in the easel painting industry. Since 1956 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since 1949 he participated in exhibitions in Japan, Greece, Italy, Finland, Canada, etc. In 1998, a solo exhibition was held at the National Museum of Ukraine. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Main works: "Song of the Motherland" (1949); "Favorite Lesson" (1957); "Shevchenko`s native places" (1961); "Morning in the Boarding School" (1965) and others. The Artist died on the 29th of December, 2011.
