Description:Antique Anglo-Indian Artisan Ware Hand-Made Porcupine Quill, Bone Inlay and Walnut hard Wood Desk Box "Oval Basket Form" made in Ceylon - circa 1900-1940 Fabulous and Collectible! Amazingly hand-made heavy walnut hardwood bowl Decorated all around with variegated porcupine quills. Bone-inlay accents to rim and edges. Stunning design of stripes and dots, functions beautifully to hold 3 cigarettes. Very special and unique piece. Excellent Antique Condition - no repairs, loss or scratches Beautiful finish to walnut hard wood. All quills in vivid color, gloss and intact. Very sturdy. Great gifting condition. Must have for any collector of old boxes or lover of fine craftsmanship.
