Brass FRENCH ART DECO Desk lamp Monix

Description

Made in France in the late 1920's early 1930's this desk lamp is fitted with an an unsigned Schneider globe .The metal mounting is a Monix which was the brand of Maxime Lokiec a Paris based company (38-40 rue de la Folie Méricourt ), original glass shade , rewired with American socket .In 1922 a patent was registered for a spring braked ball joint which is used in most Monix models.It will fit any modernist interior and can bring a warmer touch to a pure Eames style furniture set. The arm is stamped with a star which was the trademark of Maxime Lokiec .; Rewired , size H.19 x globe D.4 . Rewired with adapter to US bulb E12.;
