Introduced by Cushman in the mid-1930s and designed by Herman DeVries, this iconic line features solid maple construction with a rich, distinctive finish. The dresser is easily recognizable by its chunky, integrated wooden drawer pulls, subtle scalloped detailing beneath the top overhanging edge, and stylized bracket feet. Vintage pieces from this line are highly collectible.
Cushman Manufacturing Company (1886–1980) was a renowned American furniture maker based in North Bennington, Vermont. Founded by Henry Theodore Cushman, the company is best known for its iconic "Cushman Colonial Creations" line, a very popular, solid maple furniture collection designed by Herman DeVries in 1933.Cushman Furniture holds a distinct place in American furniture history.
