Split Bluestone Basin, Early Qing Dynasty Carved from a single piece of bluestone, this vessel consists of a basin body and an independent base. The basin wall is decorated with relief patterns of mythical beasts and auspicious clouds with simple carving style, and the stone is covered with thick aged patina. Regular in shape, the paired bases have corresponding patterns and the whole set is well preserved, 36cm in height, 63cm in length and 37cm in width. As a classic display ornament for traditional gardens, bluestone basins combine the value of stone carving art and folk culture, suitable for placement in courtyards and halls.
