This authentic fossil tooth belonged to a Mosasaur, a group of powerful marine reptiles that ruled the oceans during the Late Cretaceous period. These fast, agile predators were well-adapted for life in the sea, with streamlined bodies, crocodile-like jaws, and rows of sharp teeth used to seize their prey. Ranging from small species to giants over 50 feet long, mosasaurs were among the top ocean predators of their time.
