About the artist: Born October 14, 1926 in the village of Mizinovka, Cherkasy region. He studied at the Kiev Art Institute (1948 - 1950), graduated from the Lvov Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts Teachers with a degree in T. Yablonska, S. Erzhikovsky, J. Bokshai, Y. Shcherbatenko, M. Lishchiner. Member of the CPSU. He worked in the field of easel painting. Major works: "T. G. Shevchenko at the stage "(1961); Lumberjacks (1963); The Zimbalists (1965); The International (1967); Molodist, Khotintsy (1968); "Guardsmen" (1969 - 1970); a cycle of portraits of noble people of Bukovina (1957 - 1970) and others. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1957, all-union since 1970. Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR (1970). Awarded a medal, a Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR. He died on October 22, 2008.
