PRESSED CRUCIFIX CANDLESTICK

Description

PRESSED CRUCIFIX CANDLESTICK, translucent soft powder blue, having an octagonal socket above a crucifix standard embossed "INRI" at the top, and raised on a hexagonal base, single-piece construction. New England Glass Co., and others. 1870-1890. 10" H, 3 5/8" D base.

Condition

Undamaged, except for a light bruise to the reverse of the cross base, exhibits a slightly refracting annealing line to the side of the cross, as made.
