Description

PRESSED PETAL AND LOOP CANDLESTICK, electric blue, having a six-petal socket with a hexagonal extension, raised on a hexagonal knop extension, raised on a hexagonal knop and seven-loop circular base, rough pontil mark, wafer construction. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1840-1860. 7" H, 4 1/4" D base.

Condition

Good condition, having a flake to the top edge of one socket petal and a shallow chip to the top edge of another, roughness/flaking to the underside of two socket petals, an as-made open bubble to the base edge, some roughness around the top edge of the base.
