Description

SIGNED PAINTED SHEET-IRON / TIN HOGSCRAPER CANDLESTICK, retains original red-painted surface, slightly domed circular-form foot supporting a straight shaft with side ejector knob and upper hanging hook, illegible marked name in two arches on thumbrest, possibly "SARGENT / BIRM"; bolt and nut connection. 19th century. 7 5/8" H, 4 1/8" D foot.
