Silver Aladin Lamp

Description

This is a genuine Aladdin Model 12 kerosene mantle lamp, one of the most collectible non-electric lamps made in America. The Model 12 was produced by the Aladdin Industries (then Mantle Lamp Company of America) beginning around 1928 and continuing into the early 1930s. Unlike ordinary wick lamps, Aladdin lamps use:A circular wickA mantle system similar to a Coleman lanternKerosene fuelThey produce a very bright white light—much brighter than standard oil lamps—and remain popular with collectors and off-grid users.

Condition

Original Model 12 burner. Nickel-plated metal font and column. Correct Aladdin gallery and chimney. Appears complete from the photos. Some plating wear and oxidation consistent with age.
