This is a Corona Corn Mill, a hand-crank grain grinder manufactured by Landers, Frary & Clark a genuine Corona Corn Mill made by Landers, Frary & Clark of New Britain, Connecticut, one of the largest American housewares manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The company produced corn mills, coffee grinders, food choppers, scales, and many other kitchen tools. The markings on this mill match early Corona examples made in the 1909–1925 period. The Henry Ford Museum has a nearly identical Corona Corn Mill dated to that range.What It Was Used ForGrinding dried corn into cornmeal.Grinding wheat, rye, oats, and other grains.Sometimes used by farmers to prepare feed for poultry and livestock.Clamped to a table or workbench using the built-in screw clamp.The adjustable burr plates allowed users to choose between coarse and fine grinding.
