Description

Pair Continental polychrome figural busts depicting an 18th-century gentleman and lady in period dress, each with tricorne-style hat, molded lace and costume detail, and raised on circular black and mahogany-tone plinth bases. Molded marks and model numbers to reverse, including triangular maker?s mark and numbers. Appears to be molded composition or terra cotta with polychrome painted surface. 21 in. H x 13 in. W x 10 in. D.

Condition

Good overall antique condition with scattered paint wear, surface abrasions. Some wear to painted and gilt decoration, especially along edges.
